Friday 10th February 2012
Previous Course The ABC of Successful Communication
The ABC of Successful Communication
How often have you struggled to communicate successfully with people whose points of view differ from yours? When did you last feel that you communicated at your best? If you could determine how you are perceived, what would that be like?
In this highly interactive one-day workshop, you will discover the ABCs of Successful Communication focussing on: awareness and action; beliefs and behaviour; and, confidence and credibility.
Awareness and Action:
You begin the journey by exploring how culture, values and perceptions impact on communication. You discover means of communicating your messages in ways that reflect you as you want to be perceived, resulting in positive outcomes. This section will focus on your view of yourself and how you can act in ways that lead to successful communication.
Beliefs and Behaviours:
Once you are aware of yours and others’ values and cultural differences, you continue the journey by further exploring your beliefs and how they influence your behaviour. In this section, you will discover how your behaviour – your voice, words and body language - reflect your beliefs and the bearing they have on your communication.
Confidence and Credibility:
Being aware of the impact beliefs and behaviour have on communication enables you to engage clearly with confidence and credibility. You will discover what makes you credible and how to communicate your credibility with clarity, confidence and conviction while remaining true to your authentic self.
Based on thorough research and tested means, the day’s workshop is designed to be highly interactive producing long-lasting and profitable results.
Feedback from attendees:
"Very helpful in terms of raising my awareness on different techniques I can use."
"Great fun, great people."
"Good content, got me thinking about what I could be doing wrong."
