Full-time programme

The formal training programmes begin with intensive sessions to help analysts develop the business, financial and analytical skills needed to hit the ground running when they join their respective groups. Using both instructor-led classes and e-learning modules, the programmes cover a solid grounding in a specific business as well as customised instruction on all the relevant tools, techniques and working practices for that business.

After formal training, each analyst takes on real responsibility in an assigned role. Training continues through informal on-the-job learning. Analysts work with and learn from teams of professionals, including senior experts in their area as well as colleagues from around the globe. They have opportunities to collaborate on exciting projects that contribute to business success and next generation advances while developing a network of contacts and resources. The bank’s managers are skilled mentors committed to developing talent, so they encourage analysts to build knowledge and experience that will open doors to a wide range of future career options.


Summer internship programme

The summer internship programme is the ideal opportunity for penultimate year students to gain an introduction to the world of banking. They begin the internship with an induction week that covers an orientation to the company and develops core skills. This training prepares the interns to perform real tasks with the potential for measurable impact.

By working alongside full-time employees, interns gain valuable work experience and knowledge of the financial industry. During the summer, they participate in a number of educational events and receive formal feedback on their performance.

 

Industrial Placement

12-month industrial placements are offered within Enterprise Technology & Delivery. These opportunities are open to students who wish to experience a year in industry between their penultimate and final year of study. The placement starts in July with a training programme. After this, you’ll be assigned to a team where you’ll take on genuine responsibilities and find out what it really means to work with technology at a global investment bank. You will be based in London or Camberley.
