Banking Technology Awards 2010 - nominations are now open!

Entry deadline has been extended until Friday 20th August 2010!!!

womenintechnology.co.uk is proud to sponsor the category for "Outstanding Contribution by a Female in Financial Technology" at the Banking Technology Awards 2010.

This is a unique award within the IT banking community and celebrates the ever increasing role of female technologists, programme/project managers and strategic implementers of change. Financial institutions are increasingly dependent on technology and on having a diverse, creative and committed pool of people to deliver outstanding performance to their clients. Women are at the very forefront of that new and multi-talented breed of technically minded financial professionals who are innovating, creating and delivering complex business solutions using technology.

Winning an award is a fantastic way to raise your profile in the industry so if you work within the financial services sector and know of a female technologist (including yourself!) who has made a significant contribution within any business area and across any asset class, then what better way to demonstrate this than by acknowledging her (or your) achievements through nominating her (or yourself) for an industry award that will be received in front of her (your) peer group.

Previous 2007 winner India Gary said, "Winning this award increased my visibility, standing and profile in the technology profession - I was especially pleased to win as the balanced criteria of the award not only recognised my technical experience but my enterprise leadership skills as well." Jane Phillips, Technology Senior Vice President at Bank of America Merrill Lynch was our 2008 winner. She said, "Given the strength of the other nominees, I was surprised and delighted to win the award. It is a widely recognised accolade and has opened new opportunities for me at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. These include new roles within the Enterprise Infrastructure group and more recently a move to the Business Technology group supporting Global Rates and Currencies.”

Please highlight this award to everyone who you think may be interested (other colleagues, heads of department, HR, diversity or communications contacts) as we'd like to continue the trend of previous years by receiving the highest number of category nominations and getting the biggest cheer of the night during the actual award ceremony.

The awards are judged independently and given with the intention of recognising the people behind the best use of technology in the industry and the award ceremony is being held on Wednesday 17th November 2010 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London.

The nomination process is very straightforward - all entries need to be made by Friday 20th August 2010:
