Women in business
Earlier this month I attended
The International Alliance for Women (TIAW) Global Forum
in Washington, D.C. The event brought together female leaders and change management professionals from around the world to discuss issues and learn from one another. It also featured the presentation of the 2011 World of Difference Awards.
Some of you may already know that I was fortunate enough to be among the 100 women worldwide to be recognised as a recipient. These awards recognise women from across the globe for their actions as leaders of communities, organisations, corporations, regions or countries.
I was one of the winners in the Corporate (Individual Women) category, and it really was an honour to collect the award in Washington and meet so many talented women. It was a humbling experience and a real validation that the work we do here at Women in Technology is acknowledged by so many!
