Unemployment on the rise in 2012

This data highlights that jobless individuals have reached 2.6 million in November 2011, the highest figure since 1994.

The outlook for 2012 is not rosier,  being the economy on the brink ofa double dip recession, with rising problems in the eurozone and implementation of austerity plans. It is estimated that by the end of 2012 the jobless figure will reach 2.85 millions. In this fragile job market it is very wise to be prepared  should a redundancy affect you.

Are you aware of your employment rights? Do you know what is the process required by law to dismiss employees fairly due to redundancy?  What can you do if your employer is cutting corners?
