 As the IT profession is very broad, there are many different options to consider when choosing a career in IT so here is a useful overview of some of the varied career paths graduates can choose within the technology sector.  Some IT roles are deeply technical whilst others have a greater focus on more business orientated skills including project management, communication and marketing. This overview of individual roles in IT will give you a general description of the skills and abilities required for each role, what training may be needed and enable you to match your competencies to them.  Roles often include a variety of skills and many positions require similar skills – so find out more about what you’re interested in.
