Overview
This is a one-day event is open to all undergraduate women in computing and related disciplines across the UK. The day will comprise poster competitions, speakers from industry and academia, and will conclude with a social event.
It's named after Ada Lovelace, a computing pioneer and often considered to be the first programmer.
Previously hosted to great success in the University of Leeds, in 2010 it will be hosted by the School of Computer Science and Informatics, Cardiff University.
Aims
The aims of this event are:
To provide a forum for undergraduate women to share their ideas and network;
To provide a stimulating series of talks from women in computing, both from academia and industry;
To provide both formal (talks) and informal (networking) advice to undergraduate women about careers in computing from a female perspective.
