EPWN – Connecting Across Boundaries
What We Can Learn about Resilience from Women in Sport

There is a 13€ fee associated with the event for the members and 18€ for the non-members
We will present on the challenges and advantages women have in events requiring more than just physical strength, and lessons learned on how to go the distance.
This evening is about providing inspiration, helping women to be active, and equipping them with the tools: mentally and physically to go the distance. You will gain insight into personal strategies which can be used to succeed in your own life challenges.
Speakers:
Tiffany Saibil
- lessons learned from endurance racing, with photos from the Marathon DesSables (MDS) EPWN member, Tiffany, has a commercial background in business development. In the last two years she has been moving from an occasional runner to a "professional amateur" in ultra-marathons, placing 8th women at the MDS, "one of the toughest footraces on earth".
Lesley Sackey
– Boxer for England
Lesley was on the BBC program: Last Woman Standing, where five British female athletes travel to compete with women from remote tribes. The show looked at how a group of Western girls cope when taking on local women and the rites of passage.
Sue Tibballs
, CEO, Women’s Sport and Fitness Foundation
Sue’s career began at the Women’s Environmental Network and she was campaings manager for The Body Shop. She is responsible for the overall strategy and performance at the WSFF, which aims to make physical activity an important part of women’s lives.
