Women in Cleantech: Exploring Cleantech Policy

Date: Wednesday 22nd September 2010, 6pm - 9pm
Cost: £25
Venue: Denton Wilde Sapte, One Fleet Place, London EC4M 7WS

Women in Cleantech brings together female executives who work within the Cleantech, green industry and low-carbon sector. The focus is on collaboration, connecting women who work in the industry, and those who wish to, in order to promote innovation and growth.

Collaborative working and mentoring, key strengths of many female executives, will be key to the Cleantech businesses of the future – the traditional, more transactional, way of conducting business is changing.

This is a critical time in the Cleantech’s evolution when funding, policy and development needs all the focus, collaboration and energy that a variety of different voices can provide.

Our September Forum
Policy affecting the development of Cleantech. Our aim is to help women working at all levels in the industry understand current policies affecting the sector and how they can play a part in the decision-making process.

We will explore the way in which policy is being and can be formulated to assist the UK’s adoption of clean tech at consumer and business levels.

The evening will be a “Question Time” style panel discussion and interactive Q&A session, reflecting on current policy initiatives, what the new government has in store and what needs to be done to stimulate the sector.

Afterwords, there is significant emphasis on networking and making lasting contacts to progress change; online-platforms are available to ensure relationships are sustained post-event.

Attending
Approximately 100 green-focused female business executives from all levels of the industry: entrepreneurs, technologists, Corporate Responsibility executives, professional services providers and investors.
