The accelerating pace of change within the IT industry means that the ability to manage change successfully must be a core competence. 8 out of 10 CEOs expect substantial change to occur within their sector, yet nearly 40% do not rate their organisation’s ability to manage it successfully. This so-called ‘change gap’ hurts the bottom line: a European research study found that the lowest estimate of the cost of failed change projects was 134% of the original plan!
The main obstacle to successful change isn’t technical barriers however, but “soft” factors, such as mindsets, attitudes, and corporate culture. This means that technical and project management skills are no longer enough, you also need to be able to lead change with positive energy, engage people enthusiastically in change, and win their full support.
What you will gain This one-day workshop will provide you with the insights, tools and techniques you need to become an inspirational and effective change leader. Understanding the psychology behind change will help you appreciate why people are motivated to do the things they do, how to increase their commitment to change, as well as identify how you can lead your change projects with impact, influence and inspiration. The fee includes two 45 minute coaching sessions over the phone.
On completion of the course you will:
- Understand the psychological drivers of effective change, and use your awareness of the ‘soft’ factors to develop strategies to optimise them
- Understand why people resist change, and how you can overcome it
- Develop actions to engage people in your change projects and win their support
- Identify how to generate the positive energy needed to lead your change projects inspirationally
Coaching Outcomes: In two follow-up 45 minute coaching sessions over the phone you will:
- Develop new personal goals and action plans
- Identify and overcome barriers to your success
- Gain confidence on your journey to become an inspirational change leader
