.NET Developer

We currently have a position for a .NET Developer to work in our Broadcast Applications Development & Maintenance team. Broadcast ADM is made up of Project Management, Analysis, Design and Development, Test and Support teams.  It delivers technical applications and solutions to the Business to support rights management, scheduling, asset/meta data management for both linear and non-linear broadcast.

Role responsibilities
  • Development of a new products and components utilising C# and Oracle
  • Developing and maintaining existing .NET applications.
  • Mentoring Junior .NET developers
  • Working as part of a team to achieve repeatable success and maintaining a high level of craftsmanship.
  • Learning new skills to help build a cross-functional team.
  • To ensure effective and efficient delivery of technical solution documentation.
  • Providing ongoing support for our live sites.

In order to be considered for this role, we will look for you to have the following skills and experience:
  • Significant software development in C# .NET - preferably on .NET framework 4 and VS2010, although good experience of .NET framework 3.5 and VS2008 would be sufficient.
  • Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Entity Framework.
  • WCF services.
  • LINQ/Lambda.
  • WPF.
  • Ability to lead by example and have the ability to learn and apply new skills quickly and effectively in a fast moving technical broadcast environment.
