.Net WPF Front Office Developer, Global Credit Technology, AVP

Overview
Following established written procedures, guidelines and techniques, develops, enhances, modifies and/or maintains applications that support business units or support functions in the Front Office environment. Software developers design, code, test, debug and document programs. Awareness of business or function for which application is designed. Individual contributor role; fully competent to work under general direction on complex projects usually on specific assigned problems, and seeks guidance and direction from more senior associates or manager, as needed. Typically requires 3-5 years of applicable experience. This job code is only to be used for associates supporting Capital Markets.

Job Description
Bank of America Merrill Lynch is currently looking to recruit a candidate to Develop .Net Applications using WPF. The Structured Credit technology team is responsible for a set of trading applications used for risk analysis, pricing, market data capture and pricing

Responsibilities
In the past year the team has grown rapidly from a small regional team of 3 to a global team of 12. The application is currently in the process of re-engineering project as the team moves from tactical to strategic. The application is moving from 2 tier architecture to 3 tier architecture The entire application front end will be re-factored in WPF from Swing. There will be considerable business user contact, so good communication and problem solving skills and a highly professional attitude are essential. The candidate must show characteristics including strong work ethic, attention to detail, assertiveness and initiative.

Requirements
Essential:
.NET 3.0 or above with Win application development background.
WPF and Prism framework.
Infragistics controls experience.
Strong knowledge in SQL Server 2005 / 2008.
SOA (Tibco knowledge preferable).
Design Patterns and Practices.
Agile development using Cruise Control / Hudson and Continuous integration.
Previous experience in a Front Office development environment.
Current Working knowledge of derivatives products or Bonds.
Excellent communication skills and strong work ethic.

Desirable:
Spring.Net
Knowledge of Credit Derivative products. It would be desirable for this to include both flow and structured products (STCDO, CDO^2, CDS, CDSI etc).
