We now have an exceptional opportunity for a highly credible Systems Developers to join us in developing enterprise business software focussed on the entire development life-cycle.

Working in an Agile environment, you will be responsible for: 
  • Contributing to the design of enterprise systems being developed. 
  • Performing detailed impact analysis on existing applications and implementing changes to developed systems 
  • Understanding existing systems and business through supporting enhancements to current critical applications 
  • Work with the team to form the overall architecture of the system. 
  • Working on strategic enterprise-enabling projects. 
  • Work closely with senior project management, business analysts and test specialists. 
  • Active participation in the agile practices including test driven development, pair programming, writing build scripts, daily stand-ups, retrospective meetings, storyboard planning and prioritisations.

We are looking for developers with the following attributes: 
  • Excellent, proven delivery experience on J2EE projects (using enterprise DB such as Oracle) 
  • Expert knowledge of the latest tools and techniques (J2EE, Spring, Web Services, XML, Extreme Programming (XP) etc) 
  • Strong OO design, including design patterns knowledge. 
  • Strong Test Driven Development (TDD) experience with continuous integration techniques an advantage 
  • Professional attitude to team orientated collaborative design process 
  • Excellent communication and people skills. 
  • Experience of developing business support or operational support systems in an ISP or telecommunications company would be advantageous.
