RESPONSIBILIITES
The role requires an analyst/developer based in London to work as part of the Global PWM Trading Development team.
The successful candidate will initially work on our strategic Cash Management project to optimize FX Spot, FX Forward and cash management globally. Thereafter the team will also work on a variety of strategic trading initiatives
The role requires analysis of business flows and development of technical solutions in conjunction with other members of PWM Technology in London, NY, Salt Lake City and Bangalore. There will be full life-cycle involvement from analysis and design through to implementation and support.
Strong team working and communication skills are essential to manage the business interaction and the global nature of projects.

BUSINESS UNIT OVERVIEW
The Private Wealth Management Group (PWM) within GS develops and manages relationships with wealthy individuals and family groups, advising them on ways in which to build and protect their financial assets through equity, fixed income and alternative investments.
The PWM Business provides investment and custody services to its high net worth clients across most if not all asset classes from listed equities to OTC derivatives. The aim of the PWM Trading Development team is to partner closely with our business colleagues to provide efficient and flexible sales trading tools and flows on our integrated and global strategic platform.
SKILL / EXPERIENCE
MANDATORY
A graduate with 3+ years of relevant experience, including:
- Strong analytical and technical skills and excellent team work are essential.
- An ability to communicate clearly with a diverse set of technologists and business users.
- Core Java / Servlet development
- Strong RDBMS (Sybase/DB2 or similar)
- Strong OO design skills
- Excellent judgement and prioritization in a commercial environment
PREFERRED
- Experience in financial products or accounting functions is desirable
- Experience of working in a global team.
- Experience developing distributed web applications.
- Unix, XML
