ROLE SUMMARY:
C# developer with proven experience in design, development and delivery of Winforms applications and service based architecture. The role involves managing the delivery of the application globally, including managing the global requirements, prioritisation of work, assigning tasks to developers, scheduling QA and user testing, and releasing the software to the trading desk. The role also requires developing close relationships with the business.
THE ROLE INVOLVES:
Application development and delivery
- Develop close relationships with the business.
- Schedule and hold regular meetings with the business to determine deliverables.
- Manage delivery of releases for the PTRiskTrader system (PTRT) application in-line with the release schedule. This includes the prioritisation of work, assigning tasks to developers, regular update meetings, scheduling QA and user testing, and releasing the software.
- You will be responsible for driving the development of the application globally. This includes ensuring the development of the application is inline with the global requirements.
- Ensure QA has been completed satisfactory on all releases.
- Document future requirements and defects in the firms QA system for any of the applications in the Program Trading application suite, including writing test scripts for the QA team.
- Work within a team of developers to the design and deliver requirements and bug fixes for the PTRT application.
- PTRT is a global application therefore you will be required to manage the development of requirements in other regions.
- Adopt the firms SDLC approach to software development
- Support the Program trading suite of applications, including early morning support cover.

European Program Trading IT develops and supports a wide range of front office applications for the European Program Trading business. We are a client-facing, client-focused team.
The services we provide include a global trading platform enabling seamless trading on over 96% of the world markets, with access to global positions, P&L and risk management. In addition we offer electronic trading connectivity for clients to send Program trades into the Global Program Trading system. Other key services include the management manages ETF’s, index and bespoke index swaps with real-time price updates published over Bloomberg and Reuters, as well as risk analysis for determining risk exposure of guaranteed portfolios.
TO QUALIFY YOU MUST POSSESS:
Essential
- Degree in a scientific, computing, mathematical or engineering degree or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience of developing and supporting front office trading applications within a banking environment
- Experience managing a small team of developers
- Proven track record of delivering application releases.
- Previous experience in all stages of Software Development Life Cycle
- Develop applications in a RAD environment
- Working with clients to document business requirements
- Ability to work under pressure
