Application Architecture & Development

We are looking for a Rates RM to join our team.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES
Working with a front office facing team within Derivatives IT, the role requires functionally running a team of developers, analysts people responsible for all flow interest rate products and all exotics (cross asset developed using a RAD approach) for Credit Suisse’s strategic trade capture and management system. Also act as the departments Relationship Manager globally to the Interest Rate Business (trading, middle office and support areas) and to the Global Modelling and Analytics (the valuation model group) department.

The role involves the following key aspects:
Business relationship manager for DIT. Dealing daily with the trading desks, middle office, product control and other associated areas in the bank on interest rate / exotic product related issues supporting over 80 products.
To bring external client facing skills to an internal audience
Management of the book of work, agreeing priorities with stakeholders and ensuring delivery
Analysis, design and project management of solutions from business and technical standpoint.
Functional management of a team of developers and business analysts crossing London, New York and Singapore.
Development in C# and advising on technical solutions that the team developments. Have the ability to be very hands on in terms of coding, database work and technical details.
Provide assistance to and business expertise to analysts and project managers
Provide in depth project management skills and expertise
Provide in depth business analysis skills
Assist with user training and provide 2nd line support as required on a rota (about twice a year).
Work with as required other teams and departments, product control, quantitative strategies (financial modellers), risk, valuations, doc and settlements.
Keep abreast of industry trends to foresee team requirements.

Play an active role in defining and improving the departmental Development and Support processes
Should have the ability to travel a couple of times a year for the purpose of keeping internal clients happy.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Essential 
  • Expertise in financial markets products 
  • Excellent project management skills 
  • Excellent business analysis skills. 
  • Strong knowledge of and exposure to structured software development. 
  • Considerable experience in commercial software development on multi-threaded GUI or server-side systems in medium-sized projects (4-6 people). 
  • Understand concepts of and will have worked under source code configuration management policies and tools. 
  • Candidates will have strong communication skills, proven ability to talk to users as well as other IT colleagues, and must be willing and able to work in a pressurised, results-driven environment 
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment 
  • Must of worked in team environment 
  • Strong C# / .Net 2.0/3.5 framework. 
  • Visual Studio .NET 2005/2008 
  • Windows Forms/ WPF development 
  • Web Services oriented architecture 
  • Database & system design experience using Oracle or Sybase. 
  • Source & Version Control. 
  • Very strong business knowledge skills in terms of financial products. 
  • Excellent communication / presentation skills
Desirable 
  • Investment Banking background 
  • Working in a global organisation 
  • Knowledge of MarketWire 
  • Agile development technologies 
  • Commercial version control system (Rational ClearCase, Subversion). 
  • Exposure to industry quality standards such as PMI
