Application Innovation Services (AIS) within IBM's Global Business Services (GBS) is looking to recruit experienced Business Analysts with proven experience in applying structured business analysis techniques as part of a team delivering a complex IT solution.The right candidate will need to possess experience of the IT delivery lifecycle, having performed a business analyst role within one or more systems integration projects or programmes.

Candidates must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the solutions delivery lifecycle, participating in at least the following phases:
- Requirements
- Development
- Testing
Candidate must present clear evidence of:
- liaising with business stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems
- working alongside technical experts to recommend solutions which enable the requirements to be met, leveraging previous experience.
- practical Use Case and Process Modelling experience, or recognised equivalent
- proven experience of using appropriate methods and tools to deliver technology projects
CV must be explicit about what the applicant was personally responsible for as opposed to the team or project achievements.
Candidate must have honours degree (1st or 2(i) desirable) or equivalent
Candidates must demonstrate strong inter-personal, communication and facilitation skills
Candidates must show enthusiasm and commitment to delivering to tight deadlines
Candidates must have a well developed approach to problem solving and decision making
Candidates must be happy to take personal responsibility for the quality of their deliverables
Candidates must be self starters and be able to hit the ground running
Candidates must have evidence of helping to resolve conflict leading to a successful outcome

- practical Business Process Re-engineering experience or other Process Improvement experience
- data analysis skills or structured Data Modelling experience
- specific analysis support tools, such as Rational
- proven experience on COTS (Common Of The Shelf) package implementation projects
- shaping and selling business analysis opportunities
- working across multiple industry sectors, ideally including financial services
- working as part of a virtual team to delvier business analysis deliverables
