AVP - Business Analyst, Global Wealth Management Technology

Global Wealth Management Technology supports the EMEA Wealth Management business through the provision of project management services and development of technology solutions. The group have delivered a new technology platform to the discretionary private client business and are now working on a range of new development projects.

Responsibilities
The role requires an individual to assist the project teams with business analysis and testing across numerous projects in particular in the finance and back office areas. The individual will have responsibility for supporting the backoffice / finance workstream, which includes:
  • Documentation and review of change requests / requirements for finance, reporting, corporate actions, etc.
  • Review and signoff of change documentation with finance and operations departments
  • Developing/maintaining the project plan in line with overall team deliverables and releases
  • Managing assumptions, risks, issues and dependencies
  • Managing requirements changes
  • Producing and maintaining project specific test plans
  • Producing test scripts for individual projects
  • Execution of test scripts for individual projects Investigation, documentation and management of defects raised including re-testing
  • Support finance department regression testing prior to major releases

Requirements
  • Excellent business knowledge of sub-ledger and financial reporting in financial services area (posting drivers, rules, reporting)
  • Depth of experience in similar roles in technology projects
  • Excellent planning and project skills and an ability to demonstrate good test skills/knowledge
  • A dynamic, positive and resourceful individual with a flexible attitude, who will pick up tasks if they are foundering and resolve
  • A self-motivated and a pro-active approach, along with a “can do” attitude
  • Must be capable of building good relationships and influencing/negotiating with people
  • A team approach in a team environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work well under pressure, be able to manage tight deadlines and situations where conflicting priorities arise
  • Experience working with the fund management/middle office operations business would be beneficial
  • Experience of working in an Asset/Investment Management environment would be beneficial
  • MS Office packages
