Broadcasting Specialist

Key features of the role
The broadcasting specialist will play a critical role in helping Accenture's television and broadcast clients achieve high performance.

You will operate alongside senior business and IT stakeholders to understand the relevant business processes and the role information technology must play as an enabler for large scale transformation within the broadcast sector.

Key responsibilities may include:
In this role you will work with senior clients to plan, analyse, design and implement transformational programmes to achieve a client's strategy. During qualifying, contracting and delivering, the broadcast specialist will define pragmatic, cost-effective, proven solutions, clearly articulating considerations, risks, mitigating strategies, etc. During delivery, the broadcasting specialist will lead large scale transformational change programmes working closely with director level client sponsors and stakeholders.

What we're looking for
You will have experience of working within the TV / broadcast industry and ideally working in the digital media space together with a deep understanding of the business processes that apply within the broadcast and post-production departments of TV companies and broadcasters, including: 
  • commissioning and programme selection; 
  • media and content management; 
  • scheduling and broadcast operations; 
  • advertising sales and operations; 
  • rights and royalties management; 
  • new media sales and distribution; 
  • content distribution and TV play-out / transmission;

Ideally you should also have an understanding and experience of the systems and tools that support broadcasters, including: 
  • scheduling and broadcast resource planning systems; 
  • advertising sales and support systems; 
  • broadcast automation and play-out systems; 
  • digital asset management systems; 
  • rights management systems; 
  • job-scheduling and workflow management systems; 
  • transmission systems and infrastructure; 
  • digital supply chain and content syndication systems; 
  • IPTV technology and online video distribution;

Any experience of "digital transformation" and the move from analog to new distribution channels such as digital terrestrial, satellite, mobile and IPTV would be highly beneficial.

Qualifications

  • Excellent degree results or equivalent 
  • Strong leadership skills - setting direction, team leadership 
  • Strong problem-solving, statistical and analytical skills 
  • Proven training and coaching abilities 
  • Your base location will be London, although most of our consultants work on lengthy client engagements within the UK and Ireland. Therefore you must be willing to work away from home Monday to Friday as required.
