Business Analyst

We now have an opportunity for a superb Business Analyst to join us in Brick Lane, working on key technology projects in this exciting business area. This agile environment is looking for an established BA to manage projects from the early inception stages right through to workshops, requirement gathering, understanding and establishing scope to directing the development teams to produce the business requirements

You will be responsible for: 
  • Working with the SNS Project Managers to provide input into project initiation and contribute towards project briefs, business cases and initiation documents etc. plus contributing to the development of cost benefit analysis, risk analysis and development plans. 
  • Agreeing analysis plans with the Lead Analyst and then implementing the plan, which will involve holding workshops, managing junior team members and co-ordinating with technical team leads, etc. You will also assist in driving out infrastructure requirements by covering non-functional requirements with technical design teams. 
  • Building trusted relationships with managers/business sponsors at different levels within the organisation and with third parties. 
  • Enabling an iterative and incremental approach to development and clearly defining user stories with acceptance criteria from which the test team can build test scenarios. 
  • Working closely with the development and test teams bringing business users into regular and close contact with developers and testers. 
  • Mentoring and supporting junior team members, contributing to their performance and development reviews in accordance with review guidelines.

To be successful in this role you will have: 
  • Demonstrable IT analysis experience with knowledge and expertise in analytical methods and tools (based on function, data and/or object decomposition). 
  • Experience in process, data and infrastructure requirements analysis. 
  • Experience in systems and software development analysis of requirements and development of solutions using a recognised methodology. 
  • Ability to develop, present and defend recommendations, credible to both IT and business users. 
  • Experienced in process, data and infrastructure requirements analysis. 
  • Strong understanding of agile environments
