We are looking for a Business Manager to join our team.
DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW
The IT Technology Infrastructure Services (TIS) division is responsible for all technology infrastructure services across Credit Suisse. This division reports in to the CIO (EXB). The division consists of several departments, for example Technology Business Partners, Chief Architecture Infrastructure, Global Products & Services, Regional Deploy & Operate, Global Production Control, IT-TIS COO.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES
Performance Management:
- Assist in preparation for and facilitate select meetings and events (e.g. Monthly Business Reviews, onsites); work with head of department and direct reports.
- Manage overall Management Information Systems for all Business Management disciplines
- Assist in the further development of the Management Pack for RDO EMEA N-4's to enable them to manage their functions
- Manage and monitor operational processes and tools that enable and support the assessment of performance against objectives (i.e., objective setting, scorecards, Monthly Business Reviews) Management Support
Financial/Headcount Management:
- Responsible for the implementation and management of headcount control for the department
- OE controller responsibilities, ensure org is kept up-to-date
- Track compliance against Org metrics targets
Resource Management:
- Monitor monthly time compliance against resources booking time and correct effort booked to RTB, MTB & CTB lines.
Talent Management:
- Support all Human Capital activities across department including:
- Increasing staff mobility across department
- Hitting employee satisfaction target
- Improving employee communication and recognition
- Improve collaboration between teams
- Implement Development plans for employees
- Assist where required in internal administrative processes (staff ratings, annual compensation etc)
Additional responsibilities that may be required:
Communications:
- Develop and execute on communications plan, including Town Halls, Q&A Sessions, Skip Level Sessions, etc
- Maintain achievements & exceptions for department and feed into various inputs as required
- Maintain N3 department Intranet site
Other
- Assist with 2011 department budget process across Change, Maintain and Run the bank budgets.
- Support N4s in the development of business cases for key projects. Ensure business cases are comprehensive and include all costs associated with the projects / initiatives.
- Form effective working relationship with all key stakeholders to facilitate rapid decision making and ensure a constant focus on hitting milestones for delivery of objectives
- Provide tactical support on key management deliverables
- Research, investigate and answer critical questions originating from within RDO EMEA and from RDO EMEA key stakeholders
- Develop and maintain department’s operational plans and coordinate sub-department strategies
- Monitor and ensure 100% compliance with DR metrics for all TIS products and all Branch locations
- Ensure full DR divisional compliance is achieved against the three KPI’s:
(1) DR Solutions;
(2) Unit Tested;
(3) DR Guides Reviewed
- Employ a proactive approach to DR/BCP.
- Ensure RDO EMEA Business Recovery Plans are reviewed and updated within BCM requirements dependent on app criticality
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
-A broad understanding of business management activity and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance
- Extensive management experience
- Significant professional experience in related fields
- IT Infrastructure – Service Delivery
- Financial Management for an IT Organization
- Strong knowledge on different infrastructure platforms, including: Networks, voice, desktop, Windows and Unix servers.
- Finance / Accounting
- Project Management
- Product Management
- Strong mediation and facilitation skills
- Ability to coordinate global teams and to manage complex logistics
- Teamwork and communication/ information sharing
- Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus
- Strong situational analysis and decision making abilities
- Performance management expertise
- Bachelor degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering or related field is preferred.
- Extensive professional experience in Technology Infrastructure.
- Considerable experience managing teams.
- Fluent in English
