Cast Iron Technical Sales Engineer

As the Pre-Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for handling all of the technical issues that arise during a sales cycle, including sales related activities designated by the manager such as pre-sales training, demonstrations and prototyping. From time to time you may be called upon to perform short consulting or training activities as part of account management.

Essential Job Functions : 
  • Deliver product demonstrations to customers and partners 
  • Gather technical customer requirements, presenting a solution to meet those requirements 
  • Deliver RFP/RFI responses, these include but are not limited to: network architecture, internal and external security requirements, ERP/EAI requirements, DB requirements, and resource requirements 
  • Develop high level architectural solutions 
  • Develop innovative and appropriate B2B / EAI architectures. Understand how to develop architectures that meet the customer/partner needs. 
  • Provide prototyping, custom demos and participate in the delivery of Proof of Concepts 
  • Participate in the growth of pre-sales technical skills in the region 
  • Contribute to knowledge capital within Cast Iron Systems. Capture knowledge capital from each customer engagement. Proactively share own expertise. Respond to general e-mail requests for assistance. 
  • Support Sales Efforts. Look for opportunities to increase sales of integration software and services.

Required
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Strong demonstrated sales engagement skills and customer focus : Applied
  • Strong technical background : Applied
  • Experience with application integration solutions is essential : Applied
  • Expert level knowledge of web technologies including XML, HTML, Protocols and security : Applied
  • Technical experience with SaaS, ERP and CRM implementations is required : Mastered
  • The ability to speak multiple languages is a plus : Applied
  • Ability and willingness to travel : Applied
  • English: Fluent
