IT Investment Banking Business Area is currently looking for a Commodities IT European Regional Manager to join the team in London.
ROLE SUMMARY:
- Manage a department of approximately 20 London-based IT professionals supporting a growing Commodities business front-to-back.
- Partner with the front office to understand the business roadmap.
- Work with the global Commodities IT management team to define a three-year strategic, technology roadmap and ensure that project deliveries are aligned to strategy.
- Partner with the front-to-back support groups such as Product Control, Operations and Risk to support and expand the business.
- Deliver business solutions on-time and within budget, leveraging the global Commodities IT team.
- Identify trends in the Commodities industry and in Information Technology, as well as new technologies that should be leveraged to improve operational efficiency.
- May require some travel to Zurich, Asia and the United States.
TO QUALIFY YOU MUST POSSESS:
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience working in Information Technology or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in the Commodities industry or Investment Banking.
- 3+ years of experience managing staff. Strong understanding of the Commodities business, trade lifecycle and risk.
- Knowledge of OpenLink Endur preferred Knowledge of object-oriented programming languages such as Java or C# preferred. Knowledge of relational database systems such as Oracle or Sybase preferred.
