Credit Support Analyst

We are looking fro a Support Analyst to join the IT team based in Lonon.

ROLE SUMMARY:
This is a team lead role within the Global Bond IT support organization working closely with traders, middle office, operations and product control in resolving business related issues. The candidate will be expected to face off against senior IT and front office stakeholders and produce regular service level updates. The candidate will be expected to communicate effectively with the traders and ensure that the team resolve and escalate issues appropriately. The candidate will be leading a team of 2 Credit IT support specialists focusing on bond etrading. Experience in this space is essential.
This is a high profile role offering an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a large number of fixed income trading applications.

THE ROLE WILL INVOLVE:
Lead the London Credit IT support team
Face off against key IT and front office stakeholders
Produce regular service metrics and report them to stakeholders
Support all the Bond trading applications from a credit business perspective and engage our clients in a proactive manner
Provide second line application support including trouble shooting issues, performing technical investigations, supporting mission critical platforms in a demanding 24/7 environment.
Resolving pricing/analytics queries
Incident logging and tracking, Incident and Problem Management following ITIL standards
Produce and maintain support knowledge base and documentation

Fixed Income IT is a global organization, spread across the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific. Its primary function is to provide IT support for the Firm’s Fixed Income Business lines, primarily the Front Office. The business areas include Cash Trading, Structured Products, Electronic Trading, Global Loans, Leveraged Finance, Global Money Markets, Global Fx, Repo, Sales, Research and Corporate Banking, Proprietary Trading, CDOs, Analytics, Origination, Structured Product Control, Global Client Technology and Energy. Additional areas include Architecture, Cross-Product Development (Project Management, Business Analysis, Quality Assurance) and Support.

TO QUALIFY YOU MUST POSSESS:
Prior experience with supporting trading/risk management, electronic trading applications will be a requirement.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to communicate with traders/product control as well as other IT teams.
Sound understanding for trade life cycle - from trade entry to settlement, including credit/market risk
Able to perform in a high pressure and highly dynamic environment.
Candidate must have attention to detail; have the ability to work independently.
Suitable candidates will be results-oriented, goal-driven self-starters
Accounting and finance knowledge will be a plus

Essential:
Graduate qualification in Computer Science or Business
Extensive work experience in supporting electronic bond trading
Experience of working in a front office trading support environment.
Clearly demonstrated hands on exposure to fixed income securities – bonds, options and futures. Ability to apply this knowledge to real world scenarios will be tested.
Clearly demonstrated hands on exposure to fixed income securities – bonds, options and futures in a trading environment.
In-depth knowledge of fixed income securities pricing and valuation methodologies.
Strong technical understanding of UNIX platform, including shell scripting.
Strong database analysis skills, either Sybase or Oracle, with a focus on efficient data manipulation and how it is applied in a trading environment.
Good understanding of Windows server and desktop environments, for application layer analysis and support.

Desirable:
Vocational qualification in Finance or Banking
