Responsibilities
The GT&O Enhanced Control Framework is based on industry standard frameworks that provide a consistent and predictable foundation for the enhanced risk management and governance. Operating principles outline how technology and operations are managed and executed across the enterprise. Within this context the responsibilities of this role will be to:
• Lead the implementation of control processes within the GWMT EMEA & LatAM department.
• Establish effective risk management routines to ensure full compliance with the enterprise routines.
• Establish Control Procedures and Requirements.
• Act as Single Point of Contact for the department, representing the team in regional and functional forums.
• Through the implementation of the control framework
o Identify and Measure areas of improvement
o Mitigate and Control risks identified.
o Monitor and Test mitigation and/or changes required to reduce and mitigate the risks.
o Report and Review
• Establish and effective relationship with the Enterprise Change Technology & Operations team.
• Act as the representative for the team on the Change Advisory Board(s).
• Act as representative for the team on vendor risk assessment processes.
• Lead the business continuity planning and act as point of contact in the event of escalation.
Requirements
• Senior leader with proven track record in similar role(s).
• Business results and delivery oriented; strong sense of accountability and ‘total ownership’
• Strong people manager. Focus on teamwork and building a productive team
• Collaborative individual. Strong relationship management skills – and comfortable dealing both with technology and business management
• Experience in Wealth Management technology beneficial but not essential
• Strong technical background. Development background preferred
• Excellent operational risk management and problem solving skills
• Vendor management experience
• Pragmatic approach to improving process through practical strategic / tactical trade-offs
• Proactive leadership skills, including influence and change management, with strong people management and people development skills
• Excellent verbal communication skills – proactive communication
• A self-motivated and a pro-active approach, along with a “can do” attitude
