IT Transaction Services, part of the Operational Transactions Services (OTS) team, advise and support clients through the complete deal lifecycle providing a range of sell-side and buy-side IT services to clients. Services range from complex IT due diligence, post-merger integration, carve out/ separation, post deal value enhancement through to corporate restructuring. They also provide non-deal related services to strategic Ernst & Young clients.
Exposure to at least one the following:
- Experience of transactions, ideally in performing of IT Due Diligence and/or IT post-merger integration, separation/carve-out assignments
- Experience in industry in a Managerial capacity (within an organisation's IT department or on the IT supplier side)
- Experience of IT advisory and consulting within a professional services environment
Essential Attributes:
- Broad knowledge and deep understanding of one or more core aspects of a typical IT function, including Enterprise Architecture, IT Strategy and Governance, Systems Integration and Application Development, IT Service Delivery, IT infrastructure, IT financials and dynamics of an IT function
- Programme and project management expertise
- Knowledge of Structured methodologies and a familiarity with industry standards such as ITIL for Infrastructure, Systems Development Life Cycle methods and COBIT for IT governance
- Provide insights on IT aspects of transaction deals that are relevant and valued by clients and readers of the IT Due Diligence reports
- Flexible with working locations, the ability to learn quickly and leverage skills in new situations
- Experience of IT outsourcing, vendor management and IT procurement.
Desirable Attribute:
- Business administration or accounting knowledge (example MBA or CA or CIMA).
Client responsibilities:
- Working within the Transaction Integration team to deliver IT Transaction Services engagements including IT Due Diligence, IT Post Merger Integration, IT Carve-outs/ Separation
- Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team consisting of EY, clients and contractors to advise on project plans, conducting fieldwork, interviews, workshops, identifying key issues and risks and supporting Senior staff in delivering client work
- Delivery and review of high-quality, risk-managed reports, client presentations and other suitable work products in various formats
- Support the development and delivery of technical proposals and sales presentations.
