FX Options Development Team Leader, Global Rates and Currencies Technology, VP

Summary of Business Area
We are looking for a team leader with a strong development background in front office technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for the execution of tasks by a London based team of developers to enhance and maintain a global platform for FX options sales, trading and STP as part of a distributed technology organization (footprint in India , UK , Singapore and USA ). The pipeline of work for this organization is strong and the team has experienced significant growth to meet high demand. This role reports to the Head of FX Options Technology based in the UK . This is a senior role that includes opportunities for growth and career progression for the right candidate.

Role Responsibilities 
  • Coaching and mentoring team members to drive individual and team performance . 
  • Project manage the work pipeline and delivery. 
  • Work closely with senior and globally distributed business analysts and stakeholders to define and refine requirements. 
  • Work closely with peers in the FX Options Technology management team to ensure alignment and execution of a single global strategy for the platform. 
  • Build upon and further enhance the organisation's use of scrum for execution.

Skill Requirements
Essential 
  • Must be leading a front office development team in current role. 
  • Experience in development of derivatives (FX and/or FX Options strongly preferred) sales/trading systems. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Should be equally comfortable dealing with peers and seniors. 
  • Must be a self-starter and self-motivated to achieve demanding goals against an aggressive timeline. 
  • Strong technical background in . NET applications and architecture. 
  • Comfortable working as part of a globally distributed team. 
  • Must be able to travel if required.

Desirable 
  • Strong technical understanding of performance issues and challenges in Microsoft technologies. 
  • Experience with the latest of Microsoft's core . NET technologies - WPF, WCF, Enterprise Application Blocks etc. 
  • Experience with market data technology - TIBCO, Rendezvous, FIX tec. 
  • Experience of working with Oracle databases including PL/SQL programming.
