Global Sourcing Solutions Desk – EMEA lead

Information Technology Business Area is currently looking for a Global Sourcing Solutions Desk – EMEA lead, to join the team in London.

ROLE SUMMARY:
The EMEA region lead of the Global Sourcing Solution Desk (GSSD) will: 
  • Implement the Global Sourcing mandate in EMEA. 
  • Assist in outsourcing and vendor management. 
  • Facilitate MPP processing. 
  • Conduct/ co-ordinate periodic benchmarking exercises.
 
THE ROLE INVOLVES:
The successful candidate will lead the regional GSSD team and is expected to work with IT clients in implementing global sourcing mandate. In particular: 
  • Manage and execute regional sourcing mandates. 
  • Work with Central GSSD, IT Divisions and IT CoE Program in the definition of target footprint and operating models for domain- and process-based competency centres. 
  • Lead implementation of sourcing solutions for IT Divisions - includes setting up competency centres (domain and process), right operating model (captive or outsourced), right location (business centres or CoEs) and vendors (outsourced). 
  • Adopt consistent operating framework and processes for delivery of sourcing solutions. 
  • Maintain and track regional BoW. 
  • Process, track and report MPP. 
  • Manage/monitor relationships with customer groups. Provide regional client interface, generate pipeline and promote adoption of GSSD processes. 
  • Manage vendor relationships and overall governance as per defined processes and frameworks. 
  • Build relations with other stakeholders in the region including Supply Management, Legal, CTO, Expense Management, CoE, HR. 
  • Participate, lead and moderate internal governance meetings (regional level, across regions and with GSSD team). 
  • Provide leadership to and manage regional GSSD team. Recruit and mentor one other team member to ensure effective delivery of GSSD processes.

Additional duties and responsibilities:
Other Activities may include: 

  • Manage jointly with internal clients all transformation/outsourcing initiatives, and share responsibility for achievement of the targets of the programme. 
  • Analysis on Program Support issues. 
  • Prepare Status reports. 
  • Support project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting activities in a project/ program office environment. 
  • Liaison with senior stakeholders of Transformation program.

TO QUALIFY YOU MUST POSSESS:
Qualifications: 

  • Degree qualifications from reputable tertiary institution or relevant work experience. 
  • At least 12 years of overall work experience – of which 2-3 yrs in managing and delivering on organisation wide transformation initiatives.

- Consulting &/or outsourcing experience
- Experience of change management
- Supporting organisational transformation in global environment.
- Project management with distributed teams
- Good knowledge of IT

  • Excellent written and verbal English is required.
