Job Description
The Group Safety and Operational Risk (S&OR) organization is at the heart of BP and its purpose is to drive safe, reliable and compliant operations throughout the company’s operations. The organization will deliver its purpose through setting clear requirements for BP’s operations, maintaining an independent view of BP’s operating risk, providing deep technical expertise to the company’s front line operators and intervening and escalating where appropriate.
To achieve this, S&OR must effectively and systematically manage its Annual Operating Plan. To achieve this, S&OR is developing a systematic management planning team to create and manage the processes necessary to facilitate the effective delivery of the organization’s initiatives into BP’s operations, such that those operations are prepared for and supported in their implementation.
The S&OR Developments Planning & Performance Analyst role is part of S&OR Deployed organization and will work closely with the S&OR GWO organization to ensure delivery of timely planning and performance processes. This work will correlate to both the S&OR planning process as well as the line planning process.
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level. Undergraduate or equivalent professional qualification
- Self-starter, able to manage a varied workload, both by nature and timelines in which to deliver
- Excellent team player with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including senior leadership
- An understanding of the S&OR issues facing BP, and of the merits of different technical KPIs-
The role requires excellent organisation and co-ordination skills, working with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Developed knowledge of Upstream Exploration & Production industry and processes, particularly Global Wells Organization (GWO), would be helpful- High level of competency with analytical applications / systems
