The HSG-Industry Sales Director (ISD) will play a key role in the HSG organization in helping to drive sales of our products and solutions and be our key leader on team recruitment, development and measurement in EMEA. This position is vital to the success of HSG in EMEA and sets precedence for how we will approach other non-US markets.
The HSG Industry Sales Director-EMEA will oversee recruitment (dotted line) of EMEA based Health Solutions Group Sales Managers and teams, track overall opportunity development, direct HSG hard line resources as appropriate to assist with key HSG Enterprise prospects. The HSG ISD-EMEA will need to be a forceful representative for our interests and insert him/herself into hiring, coaching, performance measurement, deal management and resource brokering. The ISD will be the HSG Sales Leader of EMEA, will report to the GM HSG Sales, Marketing and Partners hard line and will carry normal metrics that we expect of someone charged with growing a business.
Purpose:
To lead the Sales efforts for HSG products and solutions in EMEA.
Attain or exceed the assigned quota.
Provide sales leadership, industry focus and best practices as the HSG team builds its sales and marketing team in EMEA.
Provide industry insights to the Health Solutions Group as we build out our product offerings.
Assist in any required escalations to ensure that assigned accounts receive needed access to HSG resources.
Managing and developing through a influence model a senior sales team and growing a premier set of HSG accounts.
Key to success in this position is a clear vision and attention to execution and engagement.
The successful candidate must be able to creatively tackle complex enterprise sales, major competitive threats, and appropriately allocate resources.
Also critical will be a high level of customer satisfaction and the ability to add value to customer relations & overall account goals
This person will be responsible for:
Field Execution - Delivering business results through a influence model within the HSG rhythm of the business around the progress on assigned sales goals.
Strategy and Planning - Work with HSG to help develop our approach to bringing our products to the EMEA market and sub-markets in a manner consistent with our capacity. Work with MSFT WWPS Public Sector EMEA Health Teams to map out how they will achieve sales success with HSG products on their Industry accounts. Drive management actions and decisions at Industry leadership team level. Gather field feedback and work with HSG Product and other members of HSG Leadership Team to share and adjust strategy as appropriate. Responsibilities include assisting with market analysis and research, as well as vertical strategy development.
Regional Leadership - Drive successful strategic planning and EMEA-wide-roll-out of one or more of the key HSG initiatives.
Industry Leadership - Act as a lead for HSG and MSFT on key Industry issues. Take on selected speaking engagements to extend Industry knowledge and leadership position of Microsoft. Design and lead internally focused education to ensure all appropriate MSFT EMEA Reps have the proper education to execute against their quota. Deliver ongoing communication with counterparts in US and WW around both importing and exporting best practices to/from HSG.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have strong related experience and demonstrated Health Industry or Public Sector competence and knowledge of how specific Health Enterprise sales cycles work. The ideal candidate will have led successful selling teams and will have a wide range of interactions with customers and partners. The successful candidate will have strong Executive relationship skills and strong written and verbal communication skills. He/she must have a successful history of driving results and be recognized as a key contributor in his/her prior roles. He/she must be able to communicate with company executives and leadership team members. He/she must possess the ability to define a long term vision while keeping track of short term execution and results. Candidate must be self-motivated and have the ability to motivate others. Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s degree preferred. Travel required. Location is within EMEA with most likely spots London or Paris.
