Enterprise Systems (ES) is vested with the authority and accountability for:
The development of Strategic Direction and Roadmaps for all Enterprise Systems;
The definition of Architecture, Strategy and Standards within the Enterprise Systems Domain;
An Enterprise Systems Project Execution Engine resourced by a talent pool deploying applications standards, tools and methods;
The development and maintenance of Enterprise-wide shared components and associated services;
The “silent running” of applications in accordance with established service levels with the business. Support components to include application service desk, base applications support, service delivery and business process analysis with key interfaces to the business, GOI and suppliers.
The Integrated Solution Delivery Centre (ISDC) is the central design and development organisation within ES. The ISDC is comprised of the Demand & Supply, Functional Solutions, Technical Services, Integration Services, Data Services and Operations.
The IDSC Demand Lead is
Accountable for pipeline of work coming into the ISDC through effective management of ISDC Annual Demand Forecast and Rolling Demand Plans. Accountable for engagement with ISDC customers with a view to optimal pipeline management of all workload coming into the ISDC. Responsible for developing and maintaining productive senior level relationships with consumers of ISDC services, regardless of whether these customers are application development projects, application maintenance managers, or even directly CIO organisations.
This role reports to the Head of Demand & Supply
Qualifications Qualification & Certification:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
SAP Certification
ITIL Foundation minimum accreditation
Project Management accreditation
Project estimating tool awareness
SAP experience of at least 5 full life cycle SAP projects with a global footprint
Proven experience of managing teams on projects or programmes
Financial acumen/commercial expertise
An awareness of BP business and IT&S strategies
Demonstrable track record of success in management roles of a similar nature within an SAP led IT function of equivalent scaleWork with other organisations to firm up forecasted levels of resource and serviceExposure to large SAP projects/programmes or workExposure to services required to support large SAP environmentsStrong Interaction/engagement skills to promote productive working relationshipsAbility to influence peers/leadership to achieve key strategic goalsRequires an ability to recommend key strategic choices to be taken by the ISDC LT Understanding of IT Service Management (ITIL framework) Experience of facilitating cooperative work efforts across geographically dispersed locationsAbility to create excellent working relationships within ES – specifically Projects, Application Support and the non-SAP application owners An awareness of BP business and IT&S strategiesAbility to demonstrate where peers/leadership were influenced to achieve long term strategic or short term tactical goals
