With limited places available, our graduate programme is highly competitive. Hardly surprising given what we offer: the opportunity to help us shape the future of energy. Not to mention extensive training opportunities, international placements and a work environment based on mutual trust and respect, a strong team ethic and a sense of community. As the UK's largest domestic energy supplier, Centrica relies on the day-to-day support of the in-house IS team to deliver essential services to our millions of customers.
Our systems support the business from the initial purchase of energy to the accurate billing of our customers, so a flexible technology environment that allows for rapid change at a low cost is essential.
Our two-year Information Systems programme offers extensive business-aligned and on the job training. After two six-month placements in our service delivery and business teams in your first year, the following year will be based on three criteria: your aspirations, our business needs and your performance
We want graduates with a wide range of skills, not restricted to purely technical capabilities. We're looking for graduates who have the ability to present complex ideas clearly and simply. Relationship management is key as you’ll be communicating with a variety of audiences including directors, business partners, third parties and offshore colleagues. You will also be expected to initiate, deliver and manage change across the organisation.
You need a minimum 2:2 degree (expected or attained) to apply to our graduate scheme, in any discipline.
A Computer Science background or relevant work experience in the IT sector is preferred.
