As one of our IT advisory consultants, you;ll work with our clients to provide independent advice on how their IT operations can support their business strategy and its execution. You;ll provide insights into organisational culture and help align a clients; people, processes and technology. As part of a talented team of IT advisory consultants around the world, you;ll gain deep subject matter knowledge and valuable experience across a range of industries and global organisations.
The majority of Ernst & Young programme management roles involve using ERP as an enabler or catalyst to business change. The programme manager should be familiar with the ERP lifecycle and be able to manage ERP type programmes or major parts thereof dependent on experience level.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Successfully execute the programme / project to agreed schedule, budget and scope
- Perform the relevant programme / project management processes
- Plan the programme / project based on a defined need - results in detailed scope / budget / schedule baseline
- Manage programme / project work and resources to enable successful and timely completion of the programme / project
- Delivery of programmes / projects aligned to overall business and technology strategies and architectures
- Manage external contracts and suppliers where required.
Experience:
- Experience of managing IT programmes / projects with personal accountability for delivering to time and cost for large, complex programmes / projects typically more than £10m in value and 18 months in duration
- ERP literate, whether SAP, Oracle or other to the extent that individual can manage such a programme or major part thereof without supervision
- Track record of client focus, based on openness, trust, and delivering on promises
- Extensive experience of delivery that includes the use of supplier and/or off-shore resources
- Superior experience in managing contract management both as supplier and in management of suppliers to the Programme.
