Management Financial Analyst (ACCA/ACMA)

A Leading Financial Institute is looking for an ACCA/ACMA finalist or newly qualified Management Financial Analyst to work within their Finance department. The MIS team are responsible for producing accurate, reliable and timely management information for use by a wide cross section of stakeholders including directors, business heads, performance managers and Head Office. The two key objectives of this role are to ensure alignment between local management information and Head Office view from account aggregation and segment dimensions, and provide the Performance Management team with additional analytical support. The person will also provide support to the Financial Controller – MIS as required.



Key skills include:

  • Assist with the preparation of flash and monthly reports for the businesses
  • Ensure the integrity of data for management reporting purposes
  • Carry out validation checks where appropriate including preparing and advising of correcting entries where applicable
  • Run daily processes to review and resolve differences between local management information versus the Head Office view
  • Prepare alignment journals to adjust Head Office reporting
  • Prepare detailed reconciliations that support full alignment before closing period with Head Office including validation checks supporting the integrity of data submitted
  • Maintain detailed minutes of daily Head Office meetings taking ownership of any action items directly charged with or dependent upon and manage relationships
  • Strict adherence to month-end deadlines including fast close. This means anticipating slippages and implementing counter measures to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Margin analysis (segmented and consolidated)
  • Review and preparation of month end journals



He or she should be:

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications in particular Intermediate MS Excel (incl pivots and lookups)
  • Ability to process, understand and compare large data volumes under time constraints
  • Disciplined approach to procedure documentation
  • Good working knowledge of MIS reporting systems: SUN, Vision (reporting writing and extraction tool), in-house developments
