Network Enabled Solutions is part of Accenture’s Technology Consulting practice. We plan, design, build, implement and operate Network, Systems and Service Platform solutions for clients in the UK, Europe and around the globe.
A typical Accenture Network project will take the client through the full journey as a trusted partner. From helping with the initial concept, defining and agreeing the business case, collating business requirements, developing the functional and detailed design, through to the build, integration and test phases finally allowing the solution to be launched into the client's business be it a new market-facing service or improvements to an existing service. Projects can also involve providing technical advice to senior clients allowing them to refine their technology strategy and roadmap through to assisting the technical and operational stabilisation and troubleshooting of live services.
If you have some or all of the following skills and experience, we'd love to hear from you:
- Track record of designing and build of large scale service platforms and associated infrastructure for at least one major IP service (eg VoIP, IPTV or Broadband)
- Experience of working with CTOs, CIOs, senior service platform architects and software engineers to shape programmes and drive successful delivery of services.
- Hands on experience delivery of service platform infrastructure such as CPE's (STBs, Home Gateways, IP_PBX,…), VoIP Platforms (Cisco, Nortel, Alcatel-Lucent), DTV/IPTV, IMS, Mobile or other content platforms, Firewalls/Security systems.
- Proof of the ability to deliver and operate across different vendors in a vendor agnostic environment.
- Proven track record in technical problem solving and troubleshooting service platform issues
- Experience of customizing vendor solutions to meet client requirements (e.g. implementing code changes, developing or reviewing technical designs)
- Testing of infrastructure in an E2E service environment
- Recognised as a Subject Matter Expert in end-to-end service platforms in your current organisation with a record of conceiving and shaping innovative ideas and solutions.
- A history of building relationships with key vendors, suppliers and customers
- Experience in some or all of the following technology domains:
- Video platforms (VOD, DTV, Linear TV, content delivery) including MSTV, Alcatel, Seachange, The Platform.
- Voice platforms (IP Telephony, IP Contact Centre) including Nortel, Cisco.
- IP Platforms (BRAS, Radius) including Juniper, Cisco, Alcatel routers and switches
- Cable/Broadcase Platforms (Cable STBs triple play, DSL modems, home routers/switches.
- Prior professional services, consulting or programme delivery experience in large blue-chip organisations required.
- Upper second-class Bachelor's Degree or commensurate certified experience gained within the network, operational support system or service platform arena.
- Team leadership and eagerness to contribute in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
- Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet travel requirements across the UK and occasionally abroad (majority of work is in the London area or M4 corridor).
