Network Infrastructure Consultant

Network Enabled Solutions is part of Technology Consulting. We plan, design, build, implement and operate Network solutions for clients in the UK, Europe and around the globe.

A typical Accenture Network Solutions project will take the client through the full journey as a trusted partner. From helping with the initial concept, defining the business case and its approval, the functional design, high level and detailed design steps, through to the build, integration and test phases, to allowing it to be implemented into the client's business, culminating with the migration into the support organisation.

If you have some or all of the following skills and experience, we'd love to hear from you: 
  • Track record of designing and build of large scale service infrastructure for at least one major IP service (eg VoIP, IPTV or Broadband)
  • Hands on experience of physical build out and configuration of routers and switches plus at least two other types of infrastructure including CPE's (STBs, Home Gateways, IP_PBX,…), VoIP Platforms (Cisco, Nortel, Alcatel-Lucent), DTV/IPTV, IMS, Firewalls/Security systems. 
  • Proof of delivering vendor agnostic solutions 
  • Proven track record in problem solving and troubleshooting infrastructure issues 
  • Experience of customizing vendor solutions to meet client requirements (eg implementing code changes) 
  • Testing of infrastructure in an E2E service environment 
  • Deliver infrastructure solutions 
  • Demonstrated ability to work with senior client engineers to design and build complex infrastructures 
  • Provide input as a recognised SME into E2E service architectures and RFI's/RFQ's 
  • Build contacts/relations with key vendors 
  • Deep engineering skills in the following technologies:

- Juniper, Cisco, Alcatel, routers and switches
- Cable STBs (triple play), DSL modems, home routers/switches
- CMTS, DSLAMs
- BRAS, Radius
- IP Softswitchs (Nortel, Cisco)
- IPTV/DTV/VoD platforms (MSTV, Alcatel, Seachange)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or commensurate experience gained within the networking arena. 
  • Team leadership and eagerness to contribute in a team-oriented environment. 
  • Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment. 
  • Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to meet travel requirements of this role, which may involve working away from home Monday to Friday and may include travel within the EU and further afield.
