Premier Segment Sales Lead

The Premier Team (a/k/a Service Line 7) team within Microsoft Services is responsible for developing and managing the key customer support offerings to Microsoft business customers and partners. Our key offering is Premier Support, a $1 billion and growing business. Our organization is chartered with maximizing the value that customers realize from their investment in Microsoft products and technology by providing support and maximizing product availability and uptime. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced business candidate to join the Microsoft Support & Health Service Line to help take the business to the next level, as part of the Sales, Marketing and Business Enablement Team. This role will be responsible for providing proactive Premier Sales Support to SMS&P sellers in the integration of Premier sales with Enterprise Agreements.

Premier Segment Sales Lead - EMEA & Asia

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Partner with channel to drive segment sales strategies for Premier, yielding revenue and CM growth 
  • Drive programs/projects across multiple organizational groups including Services WW Sales, Global Delivery, EPG, and SMS&P 
  • Proactively engage with field sellers to drive sales programs and lead/coach sales activities and pipeline management 
  • Successfully articulate the value proposition of Premier internally and with customers 
  • Identify business issues relating to sales, field business management, and Customer and Partner experiences through analysis and research, and create strategic initiatives for improvement. 
  • Partner with Premier TZ, Area, and Subsidiary leads to develop growth and health plans for sales. 
  • Engage with local subsidiary Services Support to identify best practices that lead to new global programs

Candidates will be expected to: 
  • Maintain a Focus on overall business impact while choosing where to focus the time and efforts of all involved parties 
  • Develop and maintain a worldwide perspective ensuring that the Subs are involved in and benefit from the overall effort 
  • Develop and maintain a multi-channel perspective ensuring that the supportability effort is inclusive of all CSS, Field, OEM and Partner channels

Ideal candidates will have or demonstrate the following: 
  • Development of key strategic sales programs 
  • Complex, Global Program Management of large sales and business management initiatives 
  • Expertise in sales methodologies and techniques, sales planning, Territory/Account planning, Opportunity Management, Customer Relationship management 
  • Expertise and success in field adoption of sales and field initiatives 
  • Strategic Communications Planning and Management including messaging design and definition 
  • Effectively exercise cross group ownership of complex supportability projects and processes 
  • Qualified Candidates will have a strong expertise in field sales and sales strategy, Sales Enablement and/or Consulting, business development and delivery. MBA preferred. 
  • ~20% International and Domestic travel required
