The Global Equities Technology (GET) group provides technology services to the Equities business. The group is approximately 950 people strong located across EMEA, AsiaPac and the USA and is responsible for the support and development of all Equities businesses front office sales and trading systems constituting some 300 applications. The GET COO (Chief Operating Office) group operates globally and is responsible for ensuring GET runs effectively and efficiently as a business. The group is split into two main groups, Business Management (covering financials, headcount management, operational risk) and PMO covering project/programme management. The group supports all key GET LOB's (lines of business):
- ELT - Equity Linked Technology
- GMFF - Financing and Futures
- HTT - High Touch Technology
- Tradeplant - Production Support · Architecture
- Equity Management
Responsibilities
The role encompasses both Business Management and PMO responsibilities for GET in EMEA and will report direct into the GET Programme Management Office (PMO), matrixed into the GET Business Manager.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Business Management
- In region day-to-day business management support to the regional EMEA GET group leads working closely with the wider GET Business Management team to ensure the delivery of a seamless, coherent business management service.
- Partnering with EMEA GET group leads and teams across all LOB's to promote transparency, consistency and understanding in the efficient and effective operation of GET.
- Provide regional coverage of the full suite of GET Business Management topics representing the views of the wider GET Business Management group
- Work with global counterparts to ensure successful regional execution of GET Business Management topics
- Participate in regional GET LOB meetings and represent GET Business Management
- Supporting the EMEA Global Equities Technology Management Meeting
- Become the 'go-to' person for EMEA GET business management topics resolving issues to ensure adoption of consistent standards across the group.
- Ad-hoc presentations
- Provide day-to-day support to the Global Equities Business Manager
- Keep abreast of best practise business management across the group.
Programme Management Office PMO
Responsibilities:
- Provides in region support to the activities of the GET PMO.
- Manages the monitoring and reporting of project (initiative) progress for GET by getting/assisting dev/project managers to update status in the central PMO tool and generates dashboard reports.
- Assists PMs and Business Management in maintaining resource plans for initiatives.
- Assists PMs and Business Management in resource/cost forecasting (PCM), time reporting reconciliation, and cost recovery adjustments.
- Communicate plans, status, and issues to higher levels of management through the appropriate reporting tool and/or PMO.
- Assists in the information update and collection for the Global and EMEA Monthly Status Report (MSR).
- Manages and provides leadership to PMs and directs/coordinate activities to ensure that all projects within the program progress on schedule and within budget.
Enterprise Change Management (ECMS) Responsibilities:
- Assists PMs in the development and delivery of tollgate deliverables: project charters, risk matrix, stakeholders, communication plans, project plan (WBS), control plan, etc.
- Maintains ECMS/Clarity initiative portfolio information: status, WBS dates, deployment events, change requests, document library, etc.
- Works with PMs to ensure adherence to global Bank standards in project/change management.
- Performs Programme Manager role where required.
- Works with PMs to ensure projects are managed and successfully delivered from inception to completion. Assists GET LOB's to determine programme/project priorities; supports optimization for business benefits.
- Assists PMs in the definition of the technical scope/objectives of the project, deliverables, milestones and required tasks.
- Assists PMs in assessing project issues and risks actively contributing to solutions
Requirements
Essential:
- Degree in Business, Information Management or a related field and strong related experience.
- Strong Project Management experience in a software application delivery role. Good experience in Financial Services.
- Demonstrated success at delivery of software application programs in financial services.
- Team management and project delivery track record.
- Program management tools and reporting experience.
- Experience facing off to the CTO/COO level audience for delivering program status.
- Attention to detail; ability to summarize at the CTO level.
- Clear concise communication, both verbal and written.
- Thought leader and positive motivator with the ability to inclusively communicate through all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated record of achieving continuous organizational improvement through hands on participation, consensus building and influence.
- Strong sense of urgency.
Preferred:
- Experience delivering against a program of projects and resource prioritization and staffing. · Experience in mentoring and coaching Project Management resources.
- Project Management Professional (PMP/PMI) certification and training.
- Advanced skills in MS Project and other MS Office tools.
- Six Sigma Greenbelt certification and training (BofA or equivalent)
