Project Manager / Change Manager, Global Rates and Currencies Technology - AVP

The Strategic Projects team is tasked with the delivery of cross product projects and significant technology change initiatives in the GRC business area globally. These projects are either delivered by the teams own project managers or by line project or development managers assisted and mentored by team members to the organisations SDLC (this assistance and mentoring being termed Change Management). The team has a separate PMO function responsible for reporting and governance.

Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced execution focused Project Manager to work in Global Rates and Currencies Technology. Candidates should demonstrate a history of delivering large-scale ($5m +) multi project streams, multi location projects to time and budget. This role will be responsible for full lifecycle delivery of projects and should have a detail aware, hands on, management style. The candidate should also have experience of structured methodologies such as PMI, Six Sigma etc. The successful candidate would be expected to provide both PM and CM services concurrently to different projects so must be able to effectively prioritise their work and multi task. As the team are also responsible for initial evaluation of strategic proposals in their conceptual stage for senior management the successful candidate must also be able to carry out technical and process analysis so should have comprehensive front to back office product and process knowledge for rates and currencies instruments. For proposed projects the project manager may also be subsequently responsible for business case preparation including detailed costs so an understanding of project accounting would be beneficial. The role entails exposure to senior business management and as such good communications skills are a pre-requisite.

Requirements
Essential:
  • Proven history of program and project management
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Good understanding of FX, Cash and Derivative Debt products 
  • Understanding of full product lifecycle from pricing and risk through settlement
  • A good understanding of accounting and project costing principles
  • A broad based understanding of the technologies in use in Debt Technology
  • A 'hands-on', 'can do' attitude

Secondary:
  • Prince 2 or PMI PMP qualification and / or Six Sigma Green belt
  • Experience of managing vendor deliveries and development in nearshore and offshore locations.
