Recruitment Consultant

We are currently looking for a high performing recruitment consultant with two years IT (preferably financial services IT) recruitment consultancy experience gained within a commercial recruitment consultancy / agency environment. This is a full lifecycle recruitment role and does not, for the foreseeable future, involve account management. Candidates will ideally have the ability to dual desk.

We are interested in seeing CVs from successful, target orientated candidates with relevant experience as described above and who have had experience in bringing in new roles and developing these into strong client relationships. Although this business development focuses on warm leads, there may be an element of cold calling involved.

Key tasks:
- Communicating with consultants to collaborate on candidates, vacancies and general information
- Researching the database for candidates for vacancies and vice versa
- Talking to candidates to sell potential roles
- Sending CVs and following up with client
- Interviewing candidates and writing up interview summaries
- Following up interviews with clients and candidates post-interview
- Negotiating offers and terms between candidates and clients
- Regularly contact clients – both by telephone and meetings
- Contact past and present candidates for referrals
- Contribute to business proposals
- Write advertising copy for posting vacancies on a variety of recruitment website
- Develop a wide and deep network of high quality candidates

Skills and experience – candidates should:

- Be able to show a proven track record of success in IT recruitment – ideally in the financial markets sector
- Demonstrate realistic self-belief without appearing arrogant
- Use your their resources with confidence
- Show faith in their own judgement but not be afraid to ask for help when necessary
- Be optimistic about their own abilities and outcomes
- Be willing to take a chance (but not a needless risk)
- Not be afraid to assert their needs or ask for what they want
- Not be afraid to take action
- Be able to work productively and effectively with team members
- Be of a degree level calibre
