Researcher – Job Description
Required education, skills and experience
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
- 0-2 years industrial/academic experience
- PhD thesis work in the area of novel processor architecture, interconnection network for parallel processing, stream processing, or simulations of large computer systems and networks.
- Good communication skills (English) verbal and written
Responsibilities
- Research activities within a team of 10+ people locally and 40+ university and other partners
- Responsible for working with and mentoring PhD students
- Working with and maintaining close connections with other teams around IBM
- Evaluating novel ideas and preparing publications and presentation
Job Description
The successful candidate will be part of a research team working with external and IBM internal partners towards the creation of a novel exascale level system, targeted towards smart stream processing. This includes working closely with the Project Manager and the PI to create and evaluate ideas and to interact with various external partners.
