Risk Analyst Developer - Financial Services

A leading Financial Services organisation seeks a Risk Analyst Developer to provide analysis and developement capabilities to risk managers around the existing risk platform. You will be required to work with the Head of Quant and Risk Technology on evaluating third party solutions that could potentially replace their solution as well as provide analysis capabilities to Equity and FI quant teams from the risk technology viewpoint.

Essential Skills: 
  • Strong analysis skills in the risk space preferably on the buy-side 
  • Excellent Excel and VBA skills 
  • Good working knowledge of Factset and Bloomberg and interfaces with Excel 
  • Good eye for detail and the ability to analyse problems and derive solutions under pressure 
  • Excellent communication skills with experience of working across functions and at all levels 
  • C# with experience in interfacing to risk (eg IMPACT) and data systems (eg Bloomberg, Oracle) 
  • Experience of working with Agile development processes

Desirable Skills: 
  • IMPACT 
  • Exposure to other risk applications eg Algorithmics, BARRA, Sungard, StatPro etc 
  • Pricing and risk level knowledge of equity and FI products 
  • Test definition, execution and reporting at all stages of the lifecycle 
  • Oracle PL/SQL 
  • MATLAB / Java / C++
