Software Test Team Leader
Location: Microsoft Development Center Copenhagen, Denmark
We are seeking a highly talented and innovative team leader with skills and ambitions to push the limitations for how effectively testing can be performed. As Software Test Team Leader at Microsoft Development Center Copenhagen, you will be managing a team of engineers who design, implement and execute mostly automated test against broad areas of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV product (previously branded as Navision). You and your team will design and develop test software that can validate the proper functioning of our product, and software that can stress it to its limits.
Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a world-leading ERP system with more than a million users worldwide. We are growing our business at a high pace, and are in the process of developing a ground-breaking new release that will introduce a number of new concepts to the ERP world.
Managing a test team
As a test team leader you will be responsible for hiring, developing, mentoring and managing your team members (typically 4-8 people). You will manage the test efforts for a subset of our feature teams, including some outsourced test efforts, and you will own the testing of specific areas of the product. You will collaborate closely with your peer team leaders from the Program Management, Development, and User Experience disciplines in driving the feature teams. You will be working closely with your peer test team leaders to plan and ensure the completeness and consistency of our testing across the product. Finally you will oversee the quality of your team’s deliverables and be responsible for driving process improvements.
Experienced team leader with strong background in test
You have broad software testing experience, project management experience as well as demonstrated leadership and management skills. Furthermore you have some software development experience, particularly within C#, C++ or similar object oriented languages, and you have strong technical and analytical skills. A computer science/engineering degree is preferred, and experience with ERP products will be an additional advantage. You must master the English language, both in written and oral form.
On the personal level you have a passion for quality and for delivering the right product, and you have good cross-group collaboration skills.
