Senior Developer, Global Mortgages Products, Credit Technology - AVP

Summary of Business Area
Global Mortgages Products (GMP) business at Bank of America has an end-to-end product suite for our clients, starting from the origination of mortgages to securitization to cash, loans and structured products/derivatives trading. The EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) GMP business has set very aggressive growth targets for 2010 and beyond and needs a strong technology framework to support their fast-paced revenue generation activity.

Role Responsibilities
Global Mortgage Products (GMP) Technology at Bank of America develops and supports an analytics platform that prices and evaluates risks of structured fixed income securities, including RMBS, CMBS, ABS, CDO and credit derivatives. The system is consumed by trading desks, risk management, and other business functions.
We are looking for a senior developer to join the development and strategic improvement of the distributed mortgage analytics platform, with emphasis on performance, reliability and scalability. The candidate is required to have in-depth experience with similar systems, and fully understands the challenges that are associated with large scale and real-time analytics infrastructure. This role will also participate in business support and day to day operations, in order to receive first hand information of requirements and issues.


Skill Requirements
  • Experience of Fixed Income Industry is a must
  • Experience of Mortgages Business or Credit Derivatives Business is preferred (not a must)
  • In-depth experience with .NET/C# Application Development including GUI and Middle Tier components
  • Service oriented architecture and web services knowledge
  • Strong OO concepts and programming skills
  • Strong relational database experience, in particular, SQL Server
  • Hands-on experience with Linux environment
  • Strong knowledge of distributed computing architecture, DataSynapse GridServer preferred
