Senior Quant Developer - Financial Services

A leading Financial Services company is looking for a Senior Quant Developer to provide an interface between the head of derivatives business and quant technology. The role will primarily focus on architecting and developing solutions for the derivatives business and supporting existing quant/derivatives processes.

Essential skills

  • Pricing and risk level knowledge of equity derivatives and derivatives in general
  • Strong modelling skills preferably using Excel/VBA and MATLAB
  • Ability to present complex technology solutions and architectures to stakeholders of all abilities
  • Ability to work in the sell-side-like environment
  • Ability to work at all stages of the development lifecycle
  • Practical understanding of modern software engineering practices and development environments
  • Strong numerate academic background
  • Experience with Agile development processes


Desirable skills

  • Front-office systems experience
  • Sophis
  • Oracle PL/SQL
  • C# / Java / C++
  • Fixed income product exposure including derivatives


The successful candidate will be highly technical and have strong modelling skills, having worked in a demanding Financial services environment. He or she will come from a strong mathematical background and be solid problem solvers.
