Customer Information Systems (CIS) is responsible for designing, building and operating all the IT systems that Sky uses to interact with customers. This includes the web, interactive and mobile customer applications, and contact centre applications and platforms.
This role reports directly to the Head of Software Architecture in Customer Information Systems.
A Software Architect will have architecture responsibility for a number of Online development projects working with Business stakeholders at an early proposition stage to shape Technology's approach to support the product/proposition. There will then be an ongoing engagement with delivery teams assisting them in aligning to the overall solution architecture and adjusting the architecture as needed in the face of changes to the proposition through to product launch.
Skills needed;
Track record in software development working within a software delivery team.
Hands on experience of designing and developing high-availability web publishing, content delivery and transaction platforms.
Understanding of service oriented and web oriented architecture principles and how to apply them within an enterprise to solve real world business problems.
Experience of using Agile software development methods within the IT industries.
Ability to conceptualise and design platforms capable of supporting multiple systems or applications.
The ability to apply modelling techniques as needed to data, logical and physical architectures.
