Solution Sales Professional - Azure

Cloud computing represents one of the most important evolutions of the IT industry, and a strategic priority for Microsoft. This is your chance to be part of a growing UK team bringing Microsoft’s cloud platform to market.

The Sales, Marketing, Services Group (SMSG) Incubation Sales team is currently recruiting a Solution Sales Professional (SSP). As a member of the SMSG Incubation Sales team for Windows Azure you will be responsible for identifying, driving and closing complex sales opportunities for Microsoft’s cloud computing platform. You will work with Microsoft field sales teams to engage with our Enterprise customers. You will also work with key partners (ISV’s and SIs) and the DPE (Developer Platform Evangelism) team on sales planning and joint execution, perform skills transfer for partners' sales forces and provide input and feedback from field and partners to the marketing and product development process. Effective sales pipeline development and management experience required. Close coordination and support of the Enterprise field sales team and DPE leadership is essential.

The Azure™ Services Platform (Azure) is an internet-scale cloud services platform hosted in Microsoft data centers, which provides an operating system and a set of developer services that can be used individually or together. Azure’s flexible and interoperable platform can be used to build new applications to run from the cloud or enhance existing applications with cloud-based capabilities. Its open architecture gives developers the choice to build web applications, applications running on connected devices, PCs, servers, or hybrid solutions offering the best of online and on-premises.

Team/Department Mission
This is your chance to be part of a growing UK team bringing Microsoft’s cloud computing platform to market. We are currently recruiting for a UK Sales Solution Professional with a passion for customers and technology to focus on the Windows Azure Platform focusing on selling to the Enterprise within the UK.

Key Accountabilities:
This job entails selling Microsoft’s cloud computing platform to customers, removing roadblocks to deployment, and driving customer satisfaction. In addition, you will provide leadership to others in identifying opportunities and helping customers to evaluate Azure solutions within their requirements to leverage the cloud. The ideal candidate will also have a proven record of growing new businesses and building technical relationships. A strong knowledge of Enterprise IT solutions and Internet services plus related technologies and competitors in the cloud computing space is required. Ability to effectively present to a wide range and size of audiences from IT technician to CIO level is a must. This position requires a deep subject matter expertise for technology solution sales and issues surrounding cloud computing and integration of other Microsoft and competitor technologies.

Key Success Criteria
1) Solution Selling Experience: Proven success with enterprise customers, working knowledge of solution-selling strategies and tactics and business value selling

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
2) A strong track record in Enterprise software sales, enterprise consulting or an equivalent
3) Demonstrated experience and success engaging with senior executives in a sales process and working with leading consulting, systems integrator and major computer vendors
4) Candidate must possess exceptional demonstrated decision-making, conflict resolution, problem solving and negotiation skills

5) Technical/Functional Skills
Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers and emerging trends as well as the impact of these on partners and customers

6) Personal Attributes/Interpersonal Skills
Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, verbal and written communication, analytical and presentation skills are required and essential in this role

7) Qualifications:
BS/BA degree, or equivalent
