Tax Team Assistant

Our business tax compliance professionals help organisations meet the demands of compliance and reporting while reducing risk and improving value.

They provide tax compliance services, statutory accounts preparation and tax accounting calculation support.

Working as part of the Business Tax Compliance client teams, you'll cover coordination, project management and account administration tasks.


Your responsibilities as a Tax Team Assistant will include:

- Project management of tax compliance engagements including planning, scheduling work, coordinating and communicating between the UK teams and the Global Shared Services team, managing any changes to schedule, keeping teams updated
- Responsibility for the coordination and administration of the compliance process including preparation and maintenance of internal files, packs to go to client and HMRC
- Maintain and update departmental database, chase up outstanding items, liaise with the quality and Risk Manager, audit and other client teams
- Assist with preparation for any internal tax quality reviews
- Ensure ASQs (Quality surveys) are sent out to clients on a regular basis
- Day to day management of client teams including liaison and coordination of teams in different locations, both in UK and overseas
- Work with filing department to set up, maintain and archive files for clients and projects
- Contributing to peer group meetings with account coordinators from other service lines (Corporate Tax and audit) to share knowledge, experience and best practice tips
- Analyse work in progress, summarise costs against budget and highlight overruns.

Experience and Qualifications you'll need as a Tax Team Assistant:

- A' Levels (or equivalent) and / or further education qualification e.g. HND and work experience gained in an administration / project management role
- Evidence of knowledge on Microsoft systems and databases
- Evidence of working within a team (both locally and remotely if possible).
