Technical Architect (Infrastructure)
The BBC is looking for a Technical Architect (Infrastructure) to join the Online Technology Group (OTG), part of BBC's Future Media division. OTG is the 'engine room,' providing the infrastructure for services that power BBC Online’s products.
As a Technical Architect (Infrastructure) within OTG, you'll be part of a team responsible for BBC Online’s end-to-end architecture including the technical design, governance and consultancy for each layer of the architecture, from production to consumption (end user).
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have:
· The ability to cope in a technically complex and fast-changing environment
· Extensive technical knowledge of large-scale, web-based distribution and streaming, from Content Delivery Networks (CDN) and caching to GEOIP implementations
· Understanding the end-to-end process; from media creation through distribution to users
· A track record of specifying, developing and deploying architectures and infrastructure for software applications in a Media environment with a “hands on” approach
