The BBC is looking for a Technical Floorwalker to join the Digital Media Initiative (DMI) Department, who can support and educate Fabric users with any issues they have whilst using the system. This is a newly created role to provide “on the ground” support to the users of Fabric, the product being developed by DMI.
The role will be located within the department of the users. When a user has an issue with Fabric they will contact the floorwalker to get the issue resolved. The floorwalker will triage and investigate the issue and also log, categorise and track all issues in the ticketing system.
To be able to do this role, this is the experience we'd like you to have:
• Relevant qualifications, preferably with a technical bias e.g. electronics, computer science, media technology and/or demonstrable practical experience
• Knowledge and understanding of multi-media/cross platform production and associated delivery systems.
• Experience of process ownership
• Experience of ticketing systems, logging and management of Incidents
This is a fantastic role at our new offices up in Salford Quays, and you could become a key part of a wave of technical innovation within the BBC.
